The Royal Catchfly is a prairie plant that grows up
to three feet, and is considered an endangered plant
in Illinois. Quite interestingly, the color red is
not at all common in prairie plants due to the fact
that most pollinating insects (like bees) are not
sensitive to this range of the light spectrum. The
calyx is a light green and covered with very sticky
hairs that trap climbing insects. The plant blooms
in mid- to late summer. Cards are printed on off-white
card stock with matching envelope, each measures
7-1/4" x 3-1/2". Each card has a hint
of gold gilt on the flower heads and are blank inside
unless otherwise specified. Inside message if desired: "Joy
and best wishes for a Happy New Year." If you
prefer cards with printed message inside, mention
that in the comment section of the PayPal order screen.
Set of 6 cards and envelopes: $15.00.
