Louisville Chapter Meeting Schedule
Fourth Tuesday program meetings are held at 7:00 pm at Louisville Nature Center (LNC), 3745 Illinois Ave.
January 23rd: Mike Smiley, Registered Landscape Architect (RLA) and President of Environs Ecological Planning, Design, and Restoration firm, will lead a discussion on Practical Aspects of Natural Landscape Design. We'll attempt to explore some of the hands-on aspects of understanding and working with your site.
February 27th: Phyllis Croce, Landscape Ecologist with Biohabitats, Inc. and graduate of Conway School of Landscape Design and Environmental Planning, will give a talk and show us slides on Landscape Restorations Using Native Plants.
Fourth Saturday work days are held at Wildflower Woods in Cherokee Park; this site is the wooded triangle behind the Daniel Boone statue, bordered by the Scenic Loop, Barney Avenue, and Cherokee Road. Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes, and you may want your own gloves! Jersey gloves, tools, and water are provided.
January 27th: 9am to noon, weather permitting.
February 24th: 9am to noon, weather permitting.
