Recent Club Activity
We had a great
wildflower walk in Cherokee Park on April 9th even though the weather was crummy.
We saw a great many different species in blooming glory and got to know each other a
little bit better.
Wild Ones members participated in a plant rescue on April 11 at the Fishpool
Interceptor, an MSD sewer construction site. Several members were there to help dig up
Trillium, May-Apple, Hepatica and Solomon's Seal. Many of these plants were planted at the
MSD headquarters and at the hard workers homes.
We had a display booth at the Louisville Nature Center native plant sale on April
25th informing people about Wild Ones. Forty-seven people signed on to our mailing
list at this event.
Beargrass Creek Restoration - Wild Ones helped sponsor and plant over 700 native trees
and shrubs along a disturbed section of the South Fork of Beargrass Creek where the new
Target and Winn-Dixie stores were recently developed. Much thanks to those hard working
members that helped with this effort on May 16th.

short business meeting and discuss our future activities. Hope to see you there!
