Wild Ones
A Dream Come True
With the completion of the remodeling for
handicap accessibility, the Wild Ones Institute
for Learning and Development or WILD Center
opened its doors to the public in January
of 2009. Through the generosity of a couple
of very special anonymous Wild Ones members,
we are fortunate enough to own the entire
property debt free.
Currently we have a staff member on site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. However, the grounds are accessible at all times.
Rental of the property is available 24/7. For more information contact wildcenter@newbc.rr.com.
Volunteer efforts are always welcome. We have some yard cleanup to be done and invasive species to remove (buckthorn, honeysuckle, wild parsnip, etc.), as well as lots of just plain weeds. We also have gardens which need some TLC from time to time.
And we've put together a wish list for tools, equipment, and miscellaneous furnishings we'll need.
