The following arboreta, botanical gardens, and nature centers are places in Michigan where visitors can view native plants and natural areas. Some of these places also serve as locations for meetings of individual Wild Ones Michigan chapters.

Arboreta

Nichols Arboretum, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI – Includes a variety of plant collections. The Dow Prairie features native prairie grasses and forbs.

Botanical Gardens

Matthaei Botanical Gardens, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI – Includes an indoor conservatory and outdoor trails. A wildflower garden and constructed wetland are of particular interest to native-plant enthusiasts. Classes are available.

Fenner Nature Center, Lansing, MI.

Kalamazoo Nature Center, Kalamazoo, MI.

Love Creek Nature Center, Berrien Center, MI.

Nature Center at Friendship Woods, Madison Heights, MI.

Ojibway Nature Centre, Windsor, ON. Administers three of the five components of the Ojibway Prairie Complex, which contains fine examples of native tallgrass prairie and savanna habitats.

Ott Biological Preserve, Battle Creek, MI.

Sarett Nature Center, Benton Harbor, MI.
