More Opportunities
Join Wild Ones any time during the year. We value new and renewing members. Contact our Membership Chair or Wild Ones for a membership brochure. Welcome!
WILD Center - We invite, appreciate and need your volunteer help at WILD Center—your hours are credited toward the chapter’s use of the WILD Center facility as its home base. Remember to record your hours on one of the Time Sheets for Wild Ones Volunteers located in the front entrance or in the tool shed. Examples of hands-on tasks and a WILD Center Wish List are available here. Thank you for making a difference in our communities.
Show Me/Help Me Tours are opportunities for members to walk your property so you can learn what experienced members suggest for native planting improvements in your yard. For information on having your yard included on a tour, contact our Program Chair.
Yard Tours are opportunities for you to walk other members' properties, view their plantings, learn what worked in their yard.
Grants - Established by Wild Ones Fox Valley, the Natural Landscaping for Tomorrow fund awards grants ranging from $100-$500 to chapter area (Map) schools, houses of worship, and other public and not-for-profit organizations who wish to create natural landscapes or outdoor classrooms using native plants. Applications are due January 15. Notification of awards is given in March. Natural Landscaping for Tomorrow Grant applications may be obtained from the Wild Ones national office at 920-730-3986.
