Wild Ones   Additional Projects and Activities of the Fox Valley Area Chapter

Native Plant Resources

Our helpful resource listing, an outgrowth of our long-range objective of encouraging area nurseries and landscapers to make native plants and natural landscaping services readily available, showcases natural landscaping/native plants vendors and the products or services they provide. For information or a copy of the booklet contact Wild Ones, 920-730-3986.

Rescue Digs

We hold supervised digs at prairie, savanna, woodland, and wetland sites slated for development. The rescued plants are transplanted into members' landscapes and a variety of area public sites. For those who wish to participate in the digs, see the plant rescue page for details.

Speakers Bureau

Several chapter and Board members have developed slide shows and presentations which are available to area groups. Contact Wild Ones, 920-730-3986.

Wild Ones Merchandise

"Wild Wear" and other gift items, such as books, totes, mugs, and caps, are available for purchase. Visit the Wild Store for more about Wild Wear and other gift items.

Wild Ones Songs

Our friend, folksinger/songwriter Steve Hazell, has set our Wild Ones ideals and spirit to music. Steve composed three songs especially for us, "This Land's in Harmony with Nature," "For the Wild Ones," and "Let Your Touch be Light on the Land." He has recorded these and other environmentally themed songs on a cassette tape, For the Wild Ones, available for $11 ppd from him at 1318 Washington Ave., Oshkosh, WI 54901.

Here is a sound clip (270 kb) of Steve Hazell's music.
