Wild Ones   Additional Projects and Activities of the Fox Valley Area Chapter

Rescue Digs

We hold supervised digs at prairie, savanna, woodland, and wetland sites slated for development. The rescued plants are transplanted into members' landscapes and a variety of area public sites. There is a separate mailing and telephoning list for those who wish to participate in the digs. See the plant rescue page for details.

Wild Ones Songs

Our friend, folksinger/songwriter Steve Hazell, has set our Wild Ones ideals and spirit to music. Steve composed three songs especially for us, "This Land's in Harmony with Nature," "For the Wild Ones," and "Let Your Touch be Light on the Land." He has recorded these and other environmentally themed songs on a cassette tape, For the Wild Ones, available for $11 ppd from him at 1318 Washington Ave., Oshkosh, WI 54901.

Here is a sound clip (270 kb).
