What's the Buzz?
Joerg Kessler, owner, Heritage Oaks Apiary
March Twin Cities Chapter Meeting - Free and Open to the Public
7:00 PM - 8:45 PM (Socializing begins at 6:30 PM)
Wood Lake Nature Center, 6710 Lake Shore Drive, Richfield, MN
The March Twin Cities Chapter meeting will be a discussion of native pollinators with Joerg Kessler, owner, Heritage Oaks Apiary, Ramsey County (located on a NWF Wildlife Habitat Certified acre).
The recent decline of honey bees has encouraged Joerg to expand his knowledge of the role of native pollinators, using his favorite method of nature exploration: “science-ologies”—biology, zoology, entomology, ecology—as well as photography and personal experience/observation. His interest in the natural world will be evident in his presentation on native pollinators and beekeeping and how native plant gardening positively impacts insects and their ecological communities.
